The Economics Association of Zambia (EAZ) wishes to inform all members that nominations are now open for members wishing to contest elective positions in the 2026 EAZ Elective Extra-Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) scheduled to be held on Friday, 4th September 2026 at Avani Victoria Falls Resort, Livingstone.
The elections will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the EAZ Constitution and will be overseen by the duly appointed EAZ Electoral Committee, with support from an Independent Returning Officer, to ensure that the electoral process is conducted in a transparent, credible, free and fair manner.

Eligibility Requirements
Members wishing to contest for elective positions must:
- Be fully paid-up members of EAZ for at least three (3) consecutive years;
- Possess valid EAZ membership credentials;
- Meet all requirements provided for under the EAZ Constitution and approved electoral guidelines;
- Submit a completed nomination application form together with all required supporting documents; and
- Pay the applicable nomination fee.

29th July 2026 – 7th August 2026
Nomination forms are available from the EAZ Secretariat from 27th July 2026.
Completed nomination applications, together with the required supporting documents, should be submitted electronically to:

Required Submission Documents
Applicants are required to submit:
- Completed and signed Nomination Application Form;
- Brief biography/profile (not exceeding one page);
- Recent high-resolution passport-size photograph;
- Curriculum Vitae (CV); and
- Proof of payment of the nomination fee.
Members are encouraged to actively participate in this important governance process as the Association prepares to elect its next leadership.
