Since September 2000, Zambia embarked on a noble cause of achieving internationally shared goals (MDGs) centered on eradicating poverty and achieving inclusive sustainable human development.  These goals are basically an epitome of wider human concerns and essence which are meant to measure human socioeconomic progress.  Being time bound, MDGs are measured periodically to ascertain the progress made by different countries in realizing them.
